when I was 13 Paul asked me if I wanted to help him out with his mobile mechanic business. I said yes. 6am on a Saturday morning Paul knocked and we were off. It was the first job, Paul asked me to join him under a car. My head ended up in a pool of oil all Paul said was "welcome to my world fletch" I loved that first day. Even if I spent most of it handing 11mm spanners to Paul. He bought me lunch and at the end of the day paid me £15. In 1989 that was a huge wage.
